With your help, we’ve raised a further £600 for our chosen charity!

January 24, 2023

We first introduced our Charity Introduction Incentive in 2021. Since the end of June last year, we’ve received 12 client introductions.

We’d like to thank every one of our clients who’ve introduced a friend, family member or colleague to us and have helped us make these donations to our chosen charity, TwentyTwenty. Their aim is to empower local young people, aged 11 to 19, to build their confidence and make positive choices in their relationships, health and education.

So, what’s next?

We set an ambitious goal of raising £2,000 to support TwentyTwenty. In 2021, we’re delighted to have raised £1,600.

We’re confident we can go one step further this year and achieve our £2,000 target!

An update from us

We wanted to update you on a few things here at Rowley Turton and tell you about some of the people we’ve helped recently.

Recommendations to other people allow us to share our expertise and provide peace of mind when it comes to helping our new clients achieve their goals.

An insight into how we’ve been able to help some of our clients recently:

David introduced us to J and E, two business partners just starting their financial planning journey. Their top priority is Director’s Share Protection, a combination of life insurance and possibly critical illness cover, and a “cross-option agreement”. This is an agreement between the directors of a company (and sometimes also between the directors and shareholders) in which each party agrees to sell their shares to the other party (or parties) in the event of their death. The goal of this is to ensure that the shares do not end up in the hands of a third party, such as a family member, who may not have the same interests as the company or its other shareholders. This protection is essential for J and E to safeguard themselves, their families, and the business if anything happens to either of them.

Another David introduced us to his son-in-law. The son-in-law had recently sold a property and was seeking advice on how to invest the proceeds. We recommended a diversified portfolio tailored to the son-in-law’s risk profile and designed to be tax-efficient so that the money can work for him.

Will introduced us to his colleague A. A is a high earner in his early fifties. As such, we advised him to utilise his pension allowances fully. This advice will reduce his tax bill and help build a fund to enable him to retire in due course. We spoke to A at arguably just the right time. Many people only contact us when they are about to retire, and at that point, we usually discover they could have been making better use of their allowances in the run-up to their retirement.

Bernard introduced us to D, one of his golfing buddies. D was turning 65 and wanted help with taking his retirement benefits. We undertook a full financial planning exercise for D, confirming that he could afford to retire comfortably. In addition to helping him secure a comfortable retirement, we’re also helping D pass some of his wealth on to his children as tax-efficiently as possible.

How you can help

You may know other people, including friends, relatives, and work colleagues who we can help. So here’s a little more information on who we predominantly work with.

We’re based in Leicester but advise people across the whole of the UK with investment portfolios ranging between £100,000 and £5,000,000+.

We treat every client as a unique individual requiring a bespoke solution and therefore never use a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach.

With this in mind, we typically work with people who are:

Planning for retirement: Those planning for retirement will undoubtedly have many questions. We’ll provide them with answers and help them plan for the retirement life they want.

Enjoying retirementRetirement should be a chance to reap the rewards for a lifetime of hard work. But for many, it’s married by money worries. We’ll help take the worry and put them back in control of their financial future.

Recently bereavedMaking sense of finances when grieving often feels like a near-impossible task. Our sympathetic and experienced advisers are here to guide clients through, and take the strain at this difficult time.

Business ownersWe help business owners achieve financial independence by helping them build up resources outside their business. These non-business resources give them the freedom to retire as, and when, they wish. This way they are free to retain the business, pass it onto children, or sell it.

We’re always happy to chat with people who you think we can help. So, if you have friends, family, or colleagues who would benefit from a conversation with us, please put them in touch with us. We look forward to giving them the same peace of mind that, hopefully, you have after working with us.
