At Rowley Turton, we’re continuing our tradition of spreading festive cheer in a meaningful way. This year, instead of sending physical Christmas cards, we’re proud to support the Rotary Club of Leicester’s Christmas Appeal, an initiative led by the club’s Impact Group to help those in need during the festive season.

This December, the Rotary Club will be distributing food parcels to individuals and families who need extra support at this time of year. These parcels, carefully prepared with a mix of everyday essentials and a small Christmas treat, provide much-needed assistance to those facing challenging times.

In previous years, the appeal has supported organisations such as Open Hands, One Roof, Wesley Hall, and the Communities Food & Wellbeing Hub. This year, we’re delighted to see the initiative extend its reach to include New Futures, a charity dedicated to supporting women fleeing domestic violence.

Each food parcel costs around £17 to assemble, and Rowley Turton is pleased to be funding 20 food parcels this Christmas. We’re honoured to play a small part in making the festive season brighter for 20 individuals or families in need.

As part of this initiative, we’ve chosen not to send physical Christmas cards this year. Instead, we’ll be sharing festive cheer with our clients through Jacquie Lawson eCards. Not only does this allow us to dedicate more resources to supporting those in need, but it also helps reduce waste and our environmental footprint. By sending eCards, we’re cutting down on paper usage, avoiding the emissions associated with production and delivery, and making a small but positive contribution towards a more sustainable future.

Supporting initiatives like this is an important part of Rowley Turton’s commitment to giving back to the Leicester community. We firmly believe that acts of kindness, however small, can make a real difference—especially at Christmas.
